Vaughan dubs Pakistan as `fighters` post T20 victory against England
Karachi [Pakistan], Sept.10 (ANI): Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has heaped praise on Pakistan by describing them as `fighters` after they managed to end their tour on a high note with a crushing nine-wicket win over Eoin Morgan's side in the lone T20 match at Old Trafford. Despite not knowing England conditions or playing with the Duke ball, Vaughan believes Pakistan had shown some tremendous efforts by beating the English side at home. The 41-year-old insisted it would be wrong to question the talent that emerges from Pakistan, especially after seeing the players display great commitment and discipline as a team against England. Crediting Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq for bringing all the players together, Vaughan said he could see the side pose a major threat to other teams in the coming future, the Express Tribune reported. It was for the first time since 2010 spot-fixing scandal that the Pakistan side had toured England and Vaughan said that he wants the team to come and play competitive cricket in his country every year. While admitting that Pakistan had always been his most enjoyable tourists, the former right-hander hailed them for playing fantastic cricket in the Test matches and ending the tour strongly despite going down 1-4 in the five-match ODI series.
