Three-member committee set up to inquire Gambhir-Bhaskar spat
New Delhi [India], Mar. 12 (ANI): A three-member committee has been set up by Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) administrator Justice (Retd) Vikramjit Sen to inquire the reported altercation between Delhi coach Bhaskar Pillai and senior batsman Gautam Gambhir that took place during Vijay Hazare Trophy. The committee, which consists of DDCA chairman Madan Lal, Ambassador Rajendra S. Rathore and Advocate Soni Singh, has been asked to complete the enquiry within two weeks and submit the report with their findings and recommendations. Yesterday, the DDCA administrator met Gambhir, Bhaskar and manager Shankar Saini to hear out their respective version on the altercation. Saini has submitted his manager's report to the administrator with detailed mention of the incident. It is reported that after Delhi finished their disastrous campaign in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, there was a dressing room altercation between Bhaskar and Gambhir. There were allegations that Gambhir had abused Bhaskar, however, they were categorically denied by the left-handed batsman. In fact, the batsman has counter-alleged that the Delhi coach was making youngsters insecure and playing with careers of youngsters like Unmukt Chand, Nitish Rana and Pawan Negi. (ANI)
