London, Aug 3 (ANI): Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Khan marked his Test return after a five-year absence with a five-wicket haul as England were bundled out for 297 in their first innings on an intriguing opening day of the third Test match at Edgbaston on Wednesday. Gary Ballance was the top scorer for England with 70, while Moeen Ali (63) and captain Alastair Cook (45) were the other notable scorers for the hosts. Ballance was involved in two crucial partnerships as he struck a 69-run stand with James Vince for the fourth wicket and forged another 66-run alliance for the sixth wicket to provide stability to the hosts. Fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Rahat Ali claimed two wickets each while leg-spinner Yasir Shah bagged one. The four-match series is currently locked at 1-1 with one more Test to play at The Oval on August 11. England had levelled the series after defeating Pakistan by 330 runs at Old Trafford last month.
