Sehwag trolls James Anderson on King pair, says 'Karma Bites'
New Delhi [India], Nov.22 (ANI): Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who is famous for his witty remarks on Twitter apart from his explosive batting style, has this time targeted England pacer James Anderson after the latter became the first English player to bag a King pair in their unsuccessful second Test against the Virat Kohli-led side, which concluded on Monday in Visakhapatnam. During England's massive 246-run defeat in the second Test at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Anderson failed to open his account in both the innings, first getting out lbw on Ravichandran Ashwin's delivery and then by debutant Jayant Yadav in the second. As a result, he became the first England player to bag a King's pair in Tests in last 100 years. Sehwag, who himself got a King's pair in India's 2011 tour to England, did not miss the chance to take a sweet revenge from Anderson, who had dismissed the Indian batsman for a duck in the second innings of the third Test in Edgbaston five years ago. In the first innings of that Test, he was dismissed by Stuart Broad off the first ball. Hitting back at Anderson, Sehwag tweeted, "Jimmy Anderson made me pay tribute to Aryabhatta by getting me out for a King pair in 2011. Today, he too got a King pair.#KarmaBites." Meanwhile, former Australian great Adam Gilchrist welcomed the English batsman to the club. "Welcome to the club Jimmy Anderson. I was first Aussie back in '01 in Calcutta. #indiadoesthattoyou," Gilchrist wrote on Twitter. However, the 34-year-old bowler took the jibe in sporting spirit and posted an emoticon in reply. (ANI)
