Rilee Rossouw unlikely to make Test debut at WACA
Johannesburg [South Africa], Oct. 18 (ANI): It seems that Rilee Rossouw, who was named Man of the Series in the recent 5-0 ODI whitewash over Australia, will have to wait a little longer to make his Test debut. Having scored 311 runs at an average of 77.75 in the series whitewash against the Aussies, Rossouw caught attention of many thus raising hopes of his Test debut in the upcoming first of the three-match Test series in Australia. However, according to Proteas coach Russell Domingo, all of the tough selection decisions will come from the bowling department. "The batting line-up is pretty established, so I suppose the big thing will be whether to play four seamers or a spinner," Sport24 quoted Domingo as saying. The statement from the South African coach suggests that the team management is not thinking about any unnecessary tinkering to the top order. The first Test starts at the WACA in Perth from November 3, the second Test would be played at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart from November 12 and the third and the last Test at the Adelaide Oval from November 24. Squad: Faf du Plessis (c), Kyle Abbott, Hashim Amla, Temba Bavuma, Stephen Cook, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Dean Elgar, Keshav Maharaj, Morne Morkel, Vernon Philander, Kagiso Rabada, Rilee Rossouw, Tabraiz Shamsi, Dale Steyn and Dane Vilas.
