Riaz warns England, says won't spare if somebody is rude
Johannesburg, July 14 (ANI): Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz has warned the England cricketers not to indulge in sledging or verbal abuse in the upcoming Test series between the two sides. Pakistan will head into their first Test series in England since their infamous 2010 tour, when Amir, along with former skipper Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, were found guilty of various offences of corrupt behaviour relating to the Lord's Test between the two sides. The tour also witnessed Riaz and England batsman Jonathan Trott engage in a heated argument in the nets during the ODI series. Recalling the incident, the 31-year-old insisted that Trott was a bit rude and added that he took out his frustration of not scoring runs on him, Sport24 reported. Stating that no one could beat his teammates when it comes to being rude, Riaz warned the Alastair Cook-led side that they wouldn't be spared if a similar incident takes place again. The upcoming tour will see the return of Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir after his five-year suspension for his involvement in the spot-fixing scandal. The 24-year-old, who also served a prison sentence in the United Kingdom for his role in the infamous case, will aim to erase his sordid past when he resumes his Test career at Lord's-- the scene of the fixing scandal-- on Thursday. Reflecting on his return, Riaz expressed confidence that Amir would flourish in England, saying the entire squad is behind the fast bowler. (ANI)
