Jakarta [Indonesia], June 14 (ANI): Indian shuttler H.S Prannoy produced a spectacular performance as he raced into the second round of the Indonesia Super Series Premier after notching up straight-games victory over Anthony Sinisuka Ginting here on Wednesday.

Jakarta [Indonesia], June 14 (ANI): Indian shuttler H.S Prannoy produced a spectacular performance as he raced into the second round of the Indonesia Super Series Premier after notching up straight-games victory over Anthony Sinisuka Ginting here on Wednesday. Prannoy clinched a comfortable 21-13, 21-18 win over his Indonesian opponent in the opening-round clash that lasted 43 minutes. In another men's singles clash, B. Sai Praneeth suffered a major blow as he knocked out of the tournament after going down 14-21, 18-21 against second-seed Son Wan Ho of South Korea in a clash that lasted 40 minutes. Meanwhile, the Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also crashed out of the tournament after suffering straight-games defeat against the Indonesian team of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian. The final score read 21-9, 21-19 in favour of the Indonesian pair. Later in the day, Kidambi Srikanth will begin his campaign against Hongkong's Wong Wing Ki Vincent while mixed doubles' pair of Ashwini Ponappa and N. Sikki Reddy will also play their opening match.
