Pakistan sniff historic win in Dominica Test
Roseau [Dominica], May 14 (ANI): Pakistan are set to bid farewell to legends Misbah-ul-haq and Younis Khan in a grand way after acquiring a dominant position after the fourth day's play in the third and final Test against West Indies at Windsor Park in Roseau. Pakistan declared their second innings for 174 for 8, setting West Indies a target of 304 runs at Windsor Park in Roseau. At Stumps on Day Four, the hosts were 7-1, still needing 297 runs with a day left. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah removed Kieran Powell for 4 while Kraigg Brathwaite was still at the crease at 3*. Earlier in the day, Younis and Misbah ended their batting careers less than four overs apart, both caught sweeping, Misbah for two and Younis for 35. Both the batsmen were given guard of honour by team-mates as they left the ground. The Jason Holder-led side looked all set to dismiss the visitors for a paltry total, but some lower order contribution from Hasan Ali, who got 15 off six balls and Shah's unbeaten 38 made sure West Indies were set a target in excess of 300. Earlier in the day, the home side could only add 29 runs to their overnight score of 218 for five and were bowled for 247 in their first innings. Roston Chase, who was retired hurt, returned to the crease and managed to add only nine runs, before being bowled by Mohammad Abbas at 69. Holder remained not out at 30. Abbas finished with his figures of 5 for 46, his first five-wicket haul. With a day still left, all three results are possible. Although, a win for Pakistan seems more likely, giving the Men in Green their first Test series win in the West Indies. (ANI)
