Not yet finished with our job against Aussies, insists Proteas leggie

Johannesburg [South Africa], Oct.11 (ANI): Despite clinching the five-match ODI series against Australia 4-0, South Africa spinner Tabraiz Shamsi said his side are not yet finished with their job and will look forward to continue their winning 'habit' in the fifth and final match to claim a series whitewash. Shamsi said his side are brimming with confidence at the moment and would aim to bank on it in the final match in Cape Town on Wednesday. "Winning and losing is a habit. We are winning now. The guys are confident. The group has a brilliant work ethic but we haven't ever felt like we've done the job," Sport24 quoted the leg-spinner as saying. The 26-year-old has been working alongside veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir from the past few months, and rather than seeing the latter as competition, he is eager to soak up his knowledge. Considering the presence of Tahir as a blessing in disguise, Shamsi admitted that he had a lot to learn from the veteran leg-spinner, whom he described as the best person around him. "He is trying to pass on the things he has learned to me, so that I can get it quicker than he did, because to know those things can take a good few years," he added. Shamsi also has his mind on next month's Australian tour after being picked as one of two uncapped spinners for the three-match Test series, starting at the WACA from November 3. "Test cricket is one of my aspirations so if I get an opportunity, I will take it on board and see how it goes," he added. (ANI)
