New Delhi [India], Jan. 30 (ANI): Former Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Vinod Rai, who is appointed by the Supreme Court to head the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Monday said that he was honoured to be entrusted in new four-member administrative panel, adding his first priority will be to ensure smooth transition of the country's cricket board. Describing himself as a `night-watchman`, Vinod said that he would try to bring good governance and adequate performances by the people. "It's an honour to be entrusted by the Supreme Court...I was biting my nails during the T20 yesterday. My first priority is to ensure the honest transition of the board and good governance and adequate performances by the people. I am very happy with the committee I'll be working with! My role is of a night-watchman and cricket is my first priority," Vinod said in an exclusive interview to ANI. The apex court earlier in the day appointed a new four-member BCCI panel of administrators led by Vinod Rai, along with noted historian Ramachandra Guha, managing director of IDFC Limited Vikram Limaye and former captain of the women's cricket team Diana Edulji as other administrators. They will function as the new interim bosses of the BCCI and run the day-to-day administration of BCCI till the Justice (retd.) R.M Lodha-led recommendations are fully implemented and elections are held. (ANI)
