New Delhi [India], Dec.21 (ANI): After India clinched the five-match series against England 4-0, veteran batsman Gautam Gambhir has praised the Virat Kohli-led side for their ruthless and lethal performance, before insisting that they have shown they truly deserve to be the number one team in the world. Karun Nair's blistering unbeaten knock of 303 runs and Ravindra Jadeja's figures of 7 for 48 in the second innings helped India win the final Test match by an innings and 75 runs in Chennai to finish the series on high. "Prolific with the bat, lethal with the ball and ruthless in the field. Deservedly number 1 in the world, congratulations India! #INDvENG," Gambhir wrote on Twitter. Meanwhile, other former and current cricketers also took to their Twitter accounts to congratulate Team India. Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar congratulated India for their amazing performance on the field and ending the five-match Test series on high. "Final result 4-0 to India. Wow!!! Amazing show guys.
