KP considers commentary a 'very easy job'

Johannesburg [South Africa], Nov. 19 (ANI): Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen has insisted that he might consider commentary as an option for future after he retires as it is something which comes easily to him. The 36-year-old has been commentating for Channel 9 and SuperSport during the ongoing three-match Test series between Australia and South Africa. When asked if he considered commentary a post-career option, the former England batsman, who is in Durban, said, "Maybe, I don't know. I enjoy it." "I think it's a very easy job to describe what people possibly don't see, because of how current I am, and bring energy to a commentary box. That's my personality ... I'm not afraid to call a spade a spade and I think I understand the game," Pietersen was quoted as saying by Sport24. The maverick batsman further said that key to commentary is not to tell the people what they can see, but rather explain what they can't see and what the commentator thinks the captain is thinking, whether it be right or wrong. "I think I've played enough cricket to understand and try and explain to people what they can't see," he said. Pietersen, a veteran of 104 Tests and 136 one-day caps for England, has been out of the national squad since his central contract was cancelled by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) following the team's Ashes washout by Australia in 2014.
