Hazlewood praises Pakistan, Amir for 'good bowling' in first two ODIs
Karachi [Pakistan], Jan. 18 (ANI): Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood has heaped praise on Pakistan bowlers, with a special mention to left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir, for the way they bowled in the first two ODIs of the ongoing five-match series. Pakistan bowlers prevented the hosts from setting mammoth targets in both ODIs in Sydney and Melbourne as they wrecked havoc on the Australian top-order. "I think it's just good bowling first of all," Express Tribune quoted Hazlewood. "The two left-armers at the top have bowled pretty well in both games, especially Amir in the first game. Then they've tightened the screws with their spinners." Hazlewood also insisted that his side are coming up with a plan to end Pakistan's dominance of their top-order. "We've been working on that and coming up with a plan," he said. "Each batter is a little bit different with his own plans. They'll definitely be looking to rectify the first two games on Thursday." Speaking about the third game which would be played in Perth, the 26-year-old said that the said the WACA pitch would offer more bounce and pace to the Australian pacers. "We always love playing over here in Perth," said Hazlewood. "The guys said it wasn't a traditional Gabba wicket. They said it didn't have as its usual pace. It will be good to get out there and see the ball fly through." "We know they've got a couple of good quicks. But we know their batters don't like that extra bounce and pace. Hopefully it's nice and quick," he added. The series is currently tied at 1-1. The two sides will now play their third ODI at the WACA Ground on Thursday. (ANI)
