Hamilton Test: Taylor's century helps NZ set 369-run target for Pak
Hamilton [New Zealand], Nov. 28 (ANI): Veteran batsman Ross Taylor scored an unbeaten knock of 102 to help his side set a target of 369 runs for Pakistan in the second and last Test here at the Seddon Park in Hamilton. With three overs to survive before stumps on Day Four, Pakistan openers Sami Aslam (1*) and skipper Azhar Ali (0*) got through the task unscathed. Earlier, Taylor scored his 16th Test hundred to drive New Zealand to a declaration 20 minutes before the end of the day's play which was completely dominated by the hosts. Starting the day at 0-0, the Black Caps didn't have the best of the starts as they lost Jeet Raval at the score of 11 to a disciplined Pakistan bowling in the eighth over. Tom Latham and Kane Williamson from there on went to share a 96-run second-wicket stand before the skipper was caught by Sarfraz Ahmed at his individual score of 42. Latham played a handy knock of 80 before he was caught behind off the bowling of Mohammad Amir. Given that the Test match has lost almost four sessions to rain, the Kiwis have done excellently to give themselves a solid chance of going 2-0 up. The Black Caps are had won the first Test comfortably by eight wickets in Christchurch. (ANI)
