New Delhi [India], April. 1 (ANI): Former MP and current advisor to the Telangana government G Vivekanand has been elected as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). He will be replacing former offspinner Arshad Ayub.

New Delhi [India], April. 1 (ANI): Former MP and current advisor to the Telangana government G Vivekanand has been elected as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). He will be replacing former offspinner Arshad Ayub. The results of the elections, which took place on January 17, were declared on Friday night after the go-ahead given by the courts, where it had been challenged by some contending parties. Vivekanand secured 136 votes to defeat his opponent Vidyut Jaisimha, who managed 69. T Seshnarayan was elected secretary unanimously, reports ESPNcricinfo. Vivekanand represented Peddapalli parliamentary constituency It should be noted that the HCA is the one of the first state associations to conduct its elections as per the Lodha Committee's recommendations. Anil Kumar has been elected as the vice-president, Ajmal Asad as joint-secretary P Mahender as treasurer and Hanumanth Reddy as apex-council member. (ANI)
