Domingo leaves England tour to attend to critically injured mother
Johannesburg [South Africa], July 10 (ANI): South Africa coach Russell Domingo, who was in England for the ongoing four-match Test series, has once again flew back home in order to be with his critically injured mother. Domingo returned to South Africa after his side slumped to a huge 211-run defeat at the hands of the Joe Root-led team in the first Test at the Lord's. The 42-year-old's mother, who was critically injured in a car accident while travelling alone in Port Elizabeth, has now been placed on life support. Reflecting on the matter, Cricket South Africa (CSA) said that although Domingo's mother had shown some signs of improvement, her condition has obviously taken a turn for the worse over the past few days, Sport24 reported. Domingo had earlier headed back home during South Africa's three-match T20 series, which England went on to win by 2-1. South Africa are slated to play second Test from Friday at Trent Bridge. (ANI)
