Dilshan, inventor of `Dilscoop`, to retire after Australia series
Johannesburg [South Africa], Aug 25 (ANI): Sri Lanka opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan has confirmed that he will call curtains on his international career after the ongoing limited-overs series against Australia. Confirming the news, the Sri Lanka Cricket said that it would dedicate the third one-day international on Sunday to the veteran batsman for his "invaluable contribution to his motherland," Sport24 reported. While Sunday's match will be his last ODI, Dilshan will retire completely after playing two T20s against Australia on Sept. 6 and Sept. 9. Known for his famous 'Dilscoop' ramp shot, Dilshan has accumulated a staggering 10,248 runs in the 50-overs format and taken 106 wickets in 329 matches. The swashbuckling batsman had retired from Test cricket in 2013. (ANI)
