Akhtar advises against foreign teams touring Pak in current situation
Johannesburg [South Africa], Oct.28 (ANI): Former speedster Shoaib Akhtar has warned international team not to consider touring Pakistan until there is complete normalcy in the country as far as security situation is concerned. The 41-year-old's comments came in the wake of this week's terrorist attack in Quetta, which claimed the lives of 62 people. Speaking to a local news channel, Akhtar advised his country not to take the risk of inviting any foreign team to Pakistan for matches. "The security situation is such that we have to be patient. I am sure international cricket will return to Pakistan, but it will take some time," Akhtar was quoted as saying by Sport24. Pakistan have not hosted any international cricket tournaments since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009. (ANI)
