Novak Djokovic undergoes shoulder surgery

Belgrade [Serbia] Feb. 4 (ANI): Tennis ace Novak Djokovic recently underwent an elbow operation to cure a two-year-old injury.

Djokovic agreed to the surgery after he lost to South Korean Chung Hyeon in the Austalia Open in January due to the wound.

He took to his Instagram account saying, "I agreed with my team that I would try different methods after I finish in Australia and a few days ago I accepted to do a small medical intervention on my elbow. It seems like I am on the good road now to full recovery."

He has regretted his decision of not taking a break last year after experiencing massive shoulder pain that led to its surgery.

The tennis player further said that he took six months off last season to recover but he is still feeling the pain.

His arch-rival Britain's Andy Murray is also recovering from a hip surgery. (ANI)
