New Delhi [India], Mar. 7 (ANI): Syedain Abbasi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, won the International Road Federation (IRF) Invitational Golf Championship held at Delhi Golf Club.

Syedain Abbasi wins the IRF's First Invitational Golf Championship
New Delhi [India], Mar. 7 (ANI): Syedain Abbasi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, won the International Road Federation (IRF) Invitational Golf Championship held at Delhi Golf Club. Gautam Philip, Senior member Supreme Court, bagged the second prize while Gen KMS Shergill finished at the third position. "International Road Federation (IRF) is Geneva based global body working for better and safer roads. India accounts for highest number of road accident deaths in the world. The championship was organised to generate awareness on road safety and will be held every year" said K.K Kapila, Chairman, International Road Federation, first non European to be elected to head the organisation. The dignitaries who were present on the occasion included Vijay Chibber, Former Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Dr. Adnan Rahman, Director General, International Road Federation, Dr. A Didar Singh, Secretary General, FICCI, Yatinder Suri, India Head, Outokumpu and diplomats from various embassies including Finland and USA.(ANI)
