Johannesburg [South Africa], Oct. 9 (ANI): World Championship leader Nico Rosberg on Sunday extended his lead by winning the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka and, thereby, giving a severe blow to Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton's hope for a title. Hamilton is now 33 points behind the German with only 100 still available in the remaining four races. Red Bull's Max Verstappen secured the second position (P2) while Hamilton made P3 after bogging on the start and was pushed down midfield to P8. Verstappen's team mate Daniel Ricciardo made fifth while Sergio Perez was sixth, reported Sport24. Sebastian Vettel was Ferrari's lead runner on a frustrating afternoon for the Scuderia, the German taking fourth place ahead of team mate Kimi Raikkonen. (ANI)
