Rosberg sets pace in opening Italian GP practice
Johannesburg [South Africa], Sept.2 (ANI): Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg emerged as the fastest driver in the opening practice session for this weekend's Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Rosberg, who is aiming for maiden world title, posted a best time of one minute and 22.959 seconds and was 0.203 seconds quicker than reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton at the high-speed Autodromo Nazionale circuit, Sport24 reported. Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen finished third ahead of his teammate Sebastian Vettel and Sergio Perez of Force India. Rosberg reduced Hamilton's lead to nine points in the driver standings after his victory at the Belgium Grand Prix last week. (ANI)
