Kolkata, July 18 (ANI): Jang Kun Lee's inspirational performance wasn't enough as Bengal Warriors snatched a tie from the jaws of victory against Telugu Titans here at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium on Monday. It was an exciting match that ended 34-34 with both teams left to rue two dropped points each.

Kolkata, July 18 (ANI): Jang Kun Lee's inspirational performance wasn't enough as Bengal Warriors snatched a tie from the jaws of victory against Telugu Titans here at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium on Monday. It was an exciting match that ended 34-34 with both teams left to rue two dropped points each. Jang Kun Lee scored 13 points for Bengal Warriors whereas Nilesh Salunke scored 10 for Telugu Titans but couldn't help their teams to achieve a win. Bengal Warriors badly needed a win to have any chance of qualifying for the semi finals. They now have 20 points after 11 matches and remain bottom of the table. Telugu Titans go third in the table with 32 points from 11 games. Bengal Warriors raced into a 3-0 lead after Jang Kun Lee scored a two-point raid in the first minute. Nilesh Salunke responded for Telugu Titans as they trailed 2-3 after three minutes. Rahul Chaudhari opened his account in the fifth minute to level the game at 4-4. It was a close game in the first eight minutes as Telugu Titans led 6-5. But Telugu ramped up the pressure on Bengal Warriors in the next three minutes as they scored two tackle points and inflicted an all out to lead 12-5 after 10 minutes. Nilesh Salunke had a strong first half for Telugu Titans and scored six points with crucial raids. Monu Goyat and Jang Kun Lee scored three points each for Bengal Warriors. Bengal Warriors trailed by as many as eight points after 18 minutes as Telugu Titans led 19-11. However, Bengal Warriors finished strongly and forced a super tackle to trail 14-19 at the end of the first half. Vishal Mane began the second half strongly for Bengal Warriors and scored two tackle points as they trailed 18-20 after 24 minutes. Monu Goyat scored two raid points in the 26th minute as Bengal Warriors leveled the game at 20-20. Jang Kun Lee got two raid points as Bengal Warriors led 22-21 but Rahul Chaudhari immediately scored two points as Telugu Titans led 23-22. However, Jang Kun Lee then scored two more points and inflicted an all out to give Bengal Warriors 26-24 lead after 28 minutes. Nilesh Salunke got rid of two men in 30th minute with both teams tied at 27-27. A few empty raids ensued, as either team wasn't willing to take too many risks. Rahul Chaudhari and Jang Kun Lee scored with do-or- die raids for both teams as it was 28-28 after 33 minutes. Jang Kun Lee scored another point as Bengal Warriors led 30-28 but Sandeep Narwal immediately responded with two points to level the game at 30-30 in 35th minute. Bengal Warriors got a technical point in 36th minute and Jang Kun Lee attained his super 10 in 37th minute as Bengal Warriors led 33-31. Sandeep Narwal got a raid point in 39th minute as Telugu Titans trailed by one point. It was a frantic last 60 seconds as Jang Kun Lee and Sandeep Narwal traded a point each with Bengal Warriors led 34-33. Rahul Chaudhari scored with a raid in the dying seconds to tie the game at 34-34. (ANI)
