Oxford graduate and Amritsar dancer set to revolutionize Indian fitness space
New Delhi [India], Sept.26 (ANI): When once-lazy, never-exercised-in-his-life Uday Anand stepped into Bharat Sadana's dance fitness class at a Delhi gym, he didn't know that he was chancing upon a business opportunity that would be transformative for the fitness landscape in India. Uday who had just returned from a double Masters Degree in Oxford University, was immediately hooked to Bharat's highly engaging approach to group workouts, and the two decided to co-found Crush Fitness India with Neha and Rajat Bedi to take the program to a broader audience. Two years down the line, their scientifically designed programs have taken on a life of their own. With over 500 classes a month across over 30 gyms in NCR, Crush Club, their signature dance fitness program has become the most successful specialized group fitness workouts in the city. Their other programs Crush Combat, Crush Cardio and Crush Core are fast catching up in their popularity too. "The response to our programs has been electric. By creating a social, party like atmosphere our 'let your hair down' Crush programs are designed for those that found motivating themselves to get out of bed and into the gym impossible. The fat loss results are just the added side effect of the fun." says Uday. "The fitness space is peppered freelancers of varying quality. Crush Fitness is the only professional entity bringing professionalism to this hitherto informal space" he adds. The industry for boutique workouts is the fastest growing segment in the fitness industry in the West. With burgeoning fitness facilities in Delhi looking for ways to differentiate themselves, creative group workouts are increasingly popular. Crush Fitness is the pioneer in professionalizing this space. "Crush has been with us from the day our gym started. They have been the ideal partners not only because of their crowd pulling workouts but also because they act as stakeholders in the gyms's success- not just service providers." Says Nakul Bagla of iFitness Gym. "Crush fitness is a great fit for us because you know their quality is guaranteed. Their trainers are consistently good and know exactly what it takes to deliver a banging class to our clients." adds Vishesh Goel, Founder of FitMeIn, Delhi-based fitness tech-startup. The team enjoys the opportunity to deploy their party starting skills to various causes and in association with Delhi-based Angels Network and Select Citywalk, have assisted in raising above 25 lakh rupees for deserving causes. They have now started work with the Angels Network on Vintage Affaire 3 which promises to be the biggest ticket fund raiser the capital has seen in recent times. (ANI)
