New Delhi [India], Aug.31 (ANI):NorthEast United FC have announced the appointment of Francisco Bruto Da Costa as their assistant coach for the upcoming third edition of Indian Super League (ISL).

New Delhi [India], Aug.31 (ANI):NorthEast United FC have announced the appointment of Francisco Bruto Da Costa as their assistant coach for the upcoming third edition of Indian Super League (ISL). Da Costa joins the North East Utd franchise with over 14 years of experience of working in football across India. He has previously worked as the assistant coach for the India U-14, U-17, U-19 National Team and AIFF Elite Academy. Da Costa also holds the 'A' License Coaching Certificate, conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and also a Pro License under the AFC. Commenting on his appointment, Da Costa said, "I am happy to be part of NorthEast United FC. The Club has an interesting line-up of players, balancing the young energy levels and the maturity and on-field expertise of seasoned players. I am excited to begin assisting the team and hope to put across a fabulous show for our fans in ISL-2016." "We are glad to have Francisco Bruto Da Costa on-board and look forward to utilize his expertise and experience in assisting the team. We are hopeful that his key understanding of Indian football scenario will contribute in the optimum training and development of the players," asserted John Abraham, Owner of NorthEast United FC. Ardeshir Jeejeebhoy, Director of Football for NEUFC said, "Francisco Bruto Da Costa is a young coach who has come through the coaching ranks in Indian football. His work ethic, commitment towards pursuing excellence in football corresponds with the vision of our club." Nelo Vingada, Head Coach of NEUFC, further added, "I look forward to the assistance of Francisco Bruto Costa, given his deeper understanding of the footballing scenario in India.
