Herbalife International India is Official Nutrition Sponsor of Indian Olympic Team

New Delhi, July 17 (ANI-Newsvoir):Herbalife International India, the global premier Nutrition company on Sunday announced its partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to be the Official Nutrition Sponsor of the Indian Olympic Contingent to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

New Delhi, July 17 (ANI-Newsvoir):Herbalife International India, the global premier Nutrition company on Sunday announced its partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to be the Official Nutrition Sponsor of the Indian Olympic Contingent to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Announcing the sponsorship, Ajay Khanna, Vice President and General Manager, Herbalife International India said, "sports sponsorships is in the ethos of Herbalife. As an organization committed to good nutrition and healthy, active lifestyle, the sponsorship of the Indian Olympic team marks a significant milestone in the chapters of Herbalife India and our sports sponsorship program as this is a first for the Indian affiliate to sponsor the country's national Olympic team". The sponsorship of the Indian Olympic contingent comes close on the heels of similar such associations from Herbalife, Vietnam and Herbalife, Israel who are the official nutrition sponsors of their respective Olympic teams. "The 2016 Rio Olympics is special for India as the country sends its largest contingent event to the global sporting spectacular. We, at Herbalife, wish every athlete the very best to fulfil their dreams and aspirations", added Khanna. Beginning with the Rio Olympics, Herbalife is mulling a long term partnership with Indian Olympic Association in an effort to identify sports federations for development of sports and its athletes, to begin with. Another significant area where the partnership will play a crucial role is nutrition, a key element in a sportsperson's life, involving nutrition education and knowledge forums for athletes of various federations. Commenting on the partnership, an IOA official said, "The coming together of Herbalife and Indian Olympic Association marks a new chapter in Indian sports sharing a common vision of holistic development of sports through nutrition. As a nutrition company, Herbalife has demonstrated it's commitment to sports development through its various associations around the globe. The synergistic vision will go a long way in comprehensive development of sports and athletes."(ANI)
