Ahmedabad [India], Oct. 20 (ANI): With nothing but pride at stake, Bangladesh crushed Argentina 67 -26 in the last match of group A in the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup 2016.

Ahmedabad [India], Oct. 20 (ANI): With nothing but pride at stake, Bangladesh crushed Argentina 67 -26 in the last match of group A in the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup 2016. Argentina's raiders put up a good show but it was their defence that led to their downfall as it contributed just two points. Skipper Aruduzzaman Munshi and Al Mamun also attained super 10s for Bangladesh. Bangladesh ended their 2016 World Cup campaign at the third spot in Group B with three wins and 16 points from five games. Argentina go back home without a single win against their name as they finished bottom of the Group B. Bangladesh were quick out off the blocks and took a 6-0 lead after three minutes as Aruduzzaman Munshi scored five raid points. Bangladesh inflicted the first all out of the match in the fourth minute to lead 11-0. Argentina opened their account in the sixth minute with a tackle point to trail 1-14. Bangladesh's defence didn't allow time or space to Argentina raiders and led 17-3 after eight minutes. Aruduzzaman Munshi achieved the quickest super 10 of the 2016 World Cup in the 11th minute as Bangladesh led 19-5. Nahuel Lopez scored three points with a super raid in the 11th minute as Argentina trailed 8-21. Bangladesh scored a couple of raid points but Argentina came with another super raid to trail 12-26 after 15 minutes. Argentina were dealing only in super raids as a third one by Eugenio Petermann to trail 15-27. Bangladesh were the better team in the first half but credit to Argentina for putting up a solid fight. Bangladesh led 33-15 at the end of the first half. Bangladesh inflicted the second all out of the match in 21st minute to lead 36-15. Argentina raiders did a fine job in scoring points but their defence let them down by making silly errors. Argentina trailed 18-40 after 25 minutes as Bangladesh raiders continued to make merry. Sabuj Mia achieved a high five in the 27th minute to give Bangladesh 44-20 lead. Tuhin Tarafder picked up a super 10 in the 28th minute as Bangladesh inflicted the third all out to lead 50-21. Bangladesh ramped up the pressure in the next three minutes as they inflicted a fourth all out to lead 59-22. Argentina came up with another super raid in the 35th minute to trail 25-60. Munshi became the leading raider of the 2016 World Cup as he scored his 13th point in the 40th minute as Bangladesh beat Argentina 67-26. (ANI)
