New Delhi, Aug. 18 (ANI): Ever since freestyle wrestler Sakshi Malik gave India its first medal at Rio Olympics, the nation has been drenched in patriotic pride and the Twitter is flooding with regards and wishes. Among several others, the B-town celebrities also took the opportunity to congratulate the 24-year-old Rohtak girl, who became the first Indian woman to earn a medal in wrestling. Karan Johar in his tweet said Sakshi is Nation's hope, "The innocent smile of achievement and our smile is of immense pride.....#SakshiMalik is the hope for the future." Commending her achievement actor Ritiesh Deshmukh tweeted "& the Indian flag flies high..You have made every Indian proud. Congratulations on the Olympic Bronze #SakshiMalik". Ayushmann Khurrana hailed her achievement, saying, "And India gets a medal in Olympics. Woman power! Hail #SakshiMalik! #RioOlympics2016 #wrestling" "congratulations #SakshiMalik .entire nation is rejoicing on your achievement.thank you," tweeted Manoj Bajpayee. Composer Vishal Dadlani tweeted, "Congratulations, #SakshiMalik ! Congratulations India! Woohoo." "1st medal!!! Thank u SAKSHI MALIK so so proud of u....#sakshimalik #truefighter #superwoman#tearsofjoy," tweeted Sonali Bendre. TV actor Karanvir Bohra, in his comment said, "We are proud of you girl #SakshiMalik." Malik, on Wednesday, brought an end to India's long wait for a medal at the ongoing Rio Olympics, clinching bronze in the Women's Freestyle 58kg category with a spirited comeback victory over Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan. Although the 23-year-old was trailing 0-5 against her Kyrgyzstani opponent after the first period, she bounced back in style to hand India its fourth bronze medal in wrestling in the Olympic history.
