After conquering China Open, PV Sindhu targets Hong Kong
New Delhi [India], Nov. 23 (ANI): The Indian contention, led by Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu, will today begin in the Hong Kong Open Super Series Badminton tournament. Brimming with confidence after clinching her maiden Super Series Premier title at the China Open on Sunday, the ace Indian shuttler would be eying to come up with another good performance to qualify for next month's Dubai World Super Series Finals. In the women's singles main draw, Sindhu will open her campaign against Indonesia's Susanto Yosephin, while Saina Nehwal, who recently recovered from a knee injury, will face Thailand's Porntip Buranaprasertsuk. Fifth seeded Saina was last week stunned by the Thai in the first round of the China Open. In the men's singles event, Ajay Jayaram, HS Prannoy, Sai Praneeth and Sameer Verma will be seen in the first round action today. In men's doubles event, the Indian pair of Mannu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy will be taking on Korean pair of Solgyu Choi and Sung Hyun in the first round on Wednesday. (ANI)
