New Delhi [India], Jan 03 (ANI): As everyone is still celebrating the New Year and sending their warm wishes to their dear ones, the pride of our nation, Satnam Singh has a special message for Indian sportsmen. Being miles away from his country, the first ever Indian to be drafted to the National Basketball association (NBA), Satnam Singh, still manages to connect to his place of birth with an inspiring message. The 21-year-old, who hails from a small village in Punjab, recently hailed India's achievements at the Rio Olympics 2016 and appreciated the undying spirit of our sports women. He further expressed his desire to see Indian men and women, through their sheer hardwork bring laurels for the country across different kinds of sports such as Football, Hockey, Soccer, Badminton, Basketball among others at the next Olympics event in 2020. Speaking on the same, Satnam Singh said, "Witnessing such inspiring performances in the future by Indian sports players at the Olympics and other international sports events, like in 2016, will open the doors for many other aspiring talents. I hope every player continues moving forward with their hardwork, and wish them the very best for their future endeavors. I wish everyone a very Happy New Year 2017." Satnam Singh, who hails from a small village in Punjab, is an Indian professional basketball player for the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League. (ANI)
