Vijender Singh to miss his first bout in US due to injury

New Delhi [India], Mar 25 (ANI): Vijender Singh's pro-boxing career suffered a huge blow on Monday as the pugilist suffered an injury during a sparring session.

New Delhi [India], Mar 25 (ANI): Vijender Singh's pro-boxing career suffered a huge blow on Monday as the pugilist suffered an injury during a sparring session.
The boxer suffered six stitches on his left eyebrow. This injury has made him unavailable for his first fight in the US, which was scheduled to be held in Los Angeles on April 12.
The 33-year old took to Twitter to inform about his injury.
"There is bad news for my fans, I got injured during the sparring session and sustained six stitches on my left eyebrow.
Unfortunately will not be able to fight on 12th April in LA(USA). रुक जाना नहीं है हमें हार के,काटों पे चलके ही मिलेंगे साये बहार के," Vijender posted on his Twitter account.

The boxer was to make his debut in the American professional circuit. He has been training under Freddie Roach, a Hall of Famer, who has previously shaped the likes of Mike tyson and Manny Pacquiao.
Vijender is unbeaten in his 10-bout pro career. He recently relocated his training base to Los Angeles and he is training at the "The Wild Card Boxing Club". (ANI)
