U23, U17 Asian Wrestling Championships: India concludes campaign with 44 medals

The continental-level competition was held from June 10 to June 18 with 60 Indian wrestlers aiming to win medals across different age groups in different weight categories.

Bishkek [Kyrgyzstan], June 19 (ANI): The Indian contingent concluded the U23 and U17 Asian Wrestling Championships 2023 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan with a total of 44 medals -13 gold, 13 silver and 18 bronze.
According to Olympics.com, the continental-level competition was held from June 10 to June 18 with 60 Indian wrestlers aiming to win medals across different age groups in different weight categories.
The grapplers participated in men's and women's freestyle and men's Greco-Roman wrestling at the event, with 10 weight divisions in each of these formats per age group. India sent one wrestler for every division.
The U17 championships were conducted from June 10 to 13. It was followed by the U23 meet from June 15 to 18.
India's U17 contingent won eight gold medals. India's U23 contingent, spearheaded by the 19-year-old Sagar Jaglan, the 2021 cadet world champion, got five gold medals.
