Saurabh Chaudhary breaks world record, bags Olympic quota

Delhi [India], Feb 24 (ANI): Teenage shooting prodigy Saurabh Chaudhary created a world record by winning gold in the men's 10m air pistol final International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup here on Sunday.

Delhi [India], Feb 24 (ANI): Teenage shooting prodigy Saurabh Chaudhary created a world record by winning gold in the men's 10m air pistol final International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup here on Sunday.
Doing so he secured India's third Tokyo Olympics quota. 
A Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and Youth Olympic Games gold medallist, Chaudhary logged a total of 245.0, dominating Damir Mikec with a point difference of 5.7. The Serbian finished with 239.3 to bag silver and second Olympic quota place in the event.
Meanwhile, Commonwealth Games and Youth Olympic gold medallist Manu Bhaker finished fifth in the women’s 25m Pistol event.
Bhaker was doing well but could only score 22 in the final after qualifying with an impressive 590.
Asian Games gold medallist Rahi Sarnobat missed out on the final after finishing with a total of 580.
In the men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions, Sanjeev Rajput and Parul Kumar could not go past the qualification. Parul finished 22nd with 1170 points while Rajput 25th with 1169 points. (ANI)
