Minsk [Belarus], Sep 17 (ANI): Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik has bagged a silver medal at the Medved International Wrestling tournament here at Minsk.
The 26-year-old lost to Marianna Sastin of Hungary 2-6 in the final of the 62 kg category event to finish second on the podium.
In the 57 kg category, India's Pooja Dhanda settled for a bronze after a solid performance in the repechage round against Becka Leathers of USA
Earlier, Malik had defeated Elmira Gambarova of Azerbaijan 6-2 in the semi-final to set up a title clash against Sastin.
In the recently concluded 18th edition of the Asian Games, Malik had lost her bronze medal bout 2-12 against Rim jong sim of Korea in the women's 62 kg freestyle wrestling category. (ANI)
