After two exciting games, the Indian Women's Hockey Team is ready to face Wales in their final Pool B match of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers, Hyderabad, Telangana, on March 11. With a semifinal spot on the line, India currently sits at the top of the points table with four points and a strong goal difference, according to a release.

The Indian Women's Hockey Team played out a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Scotland in their second Pool B match of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers, Hyderabad, Telangana, at the G. M. C. Balayogi Hockey Ground on Monday.

Rajesh's second win on the NexGen saw him bag the winning cheque worth Rs 3,17,875 that moved him into third position in the 2026 PGTI NexGen Order of Merit. Aditya Raj Singh Chahal, who finished joint runner-up alongside Pankaj Maandiya in Phillaur, now leads the NexGen Order of Merit with season's earnings of Rs 4,87,000.

Sindhu, who was supposed to feature in the All England Open competition in Birmingham starting from Tuesday, was stuck in Dubai following a crisis which started due to a sharp escalation in West Asia after Israel and the United States launched coordinated strikes on Iranian military and nuclear-linked sites. The operation triggered retaliatory threats and airspace closures in several countries, including Iran and Iraq, disrupting major international air corridors.

The event will feature an elite roster of over 100 participants competing across an 18-hole course. Among the participants are Indian cricket legends Yuvraj Singh, G.R Vishwanath, Venkatesh Prasad, Harbhajan Singh, Ajay Jadeja, Parthiv Patel, Murali Kartik, S. Badrinath, Murali Vijay, Nikhil Chopra, together with international cricketers Eoin Morgan, Michael Vaughan and David Lloyd.
