ONGC players shine at Asian Games

New Delhi [India], August 28 (ANI): The sportspersons of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) have brought glory to the nation in their respective categories as they bagged six medals, including three silver and three bronze, at the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian Games.

New Delhi [India], August 28 (ANI): The sportspersons of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) have brought glory to the nation in their respective categories as they bagged six medals, including three silver and three bronze, at the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian Games.
While shooter Apurvi Chandela of ONGC won bronze for India in 10m air rifle mixed team event, Ankita Raina finished third on the podium in the women's singles tennis event.
Shardul Vihan picked up the silver medal in men's double trap shooting event, while Heena Sidhu bagged the bronze in women's 10m air pistol event.
Hima Das and Dharun Ayyasamy bagged a silver medal each in the women's and men's 400m hurdles events respectively.
Chief Managing Director of ONGC, Shashi Shanker congratulated the players for bringing laurels for India while also assuring the company's commitment towards sports and sportspersons. He said that the management would stand shoulder to shoulder with the sportspersons and be there for them as pillars of support.
Thirty-eight ONGC sportspersons are in the Indian contingent for the Asian Games. (ANI)
