Odisha CM announces additional cash reward for Dutee Chand

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], August 30 (ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an additional cash reward of Rs. 1.5 crore for sprinter Dutee Chand for bagging another medal at the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian Games.

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], August 30 (ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an additional cash reward of Rs. 1.5 crore for sprinter Dutee Chand for bagging another medal at the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian Games.
The cash prize was announced after Chand won silver medal in Women's 200m Athletics event with a clock timing of 23.20 seconds in the finals.
The minister had, earlier, announced same amount to the sprinter after she won a silver medal in the final of the Women's 100m Athletics event with a clock timing of 11:32 seconds.
He had also congratulated the sprinter for making the country proud at the prestigious tournament.
"Congratulate #DuteeChand, our own sprint queen on bringing more glory for #India with a silver medal in 200m sprint, following a silver in 100m. Entire #Odisha & the nation is proud of your silver double at the #AsianGames2018. Well done!" he had tweeted.

India's total medal tally at the Asian Games stands at 54-- eleven gold, twenty silver and twenty three bronze. (ANI)
