Brisbane [Australia], Jan. 3 (ANI): Fourteen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal on Tuesday started his preparations for the Australian Open in impressive fashion with a straight-set victory over Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov in the opening round of the at the Brisbane International. Nadal defeated former Brisbane finalist Dolgopolov 6-3, 6-3 in a contest that lasted for over an hour. Sixth seeded Nadal, who his making his Brisbane debut, will now meet German stalwart Mischa Zverev in the second round. Zverev, the current world No.51 defeated Australian teenager Alex De Minaur 6-3, 6-3 in his opening round contest. (ANI)
