London, Aug 19 (ANI): Olympic champion Andy Murray continued his sizzling form as reached the quarterfinals of the Western and Southern Open, the US Open warm-up event, while Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka exited in the third round.

London, Aug 19 (ANI): Olympic champion Andy Murray continued his sizzling form as reached the quarterfinals of the Western and Southern Open, the US Open warm-up event, while Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka exited in the third round. Murray, the three-time Grand Slam champion, overcame an early hiccup in the first set to clinch a 6-3, 6-2 win over South African giant Kevin Anderson in Cincinnati, the Guardian reported. Nadal, who a gold medal in doubles event in Rio, showed fatigue in the match as he lost the game 1-6, 3-6 to 19-year-old Borna Coric of Croatia. On the other hand, second seed Wawrinka also failed to step up, losing his third round match 4-6, 4-6 to Bulgarian rival Grigor Dimitrov. (ANI)
