New Delhi [India], Apr 17 (ANI): Indian athlete Manika Batra on Tuesday arrived in Delhi after winning four medals in table tennis at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018.

"I am very happy with my performance and I always wanted to win a gold medal," she said.

Batra won four medals - two golds, one silver and one bronze. She won one gold each in the women's singles and team event.

In the women's mixed team event, she won both singles matches against world no. 4 Feng Tianwei and Zhou Yihan to clinch gold for India.

The 22-year-old bagged her second goal after defeating Singapore's Yu Mengyu in the women's singles final.

With this, she also became the first Indian woman to bag two gold medals in table tennis at CWG.

She then went on to win silver in the women's doubles alongside Mouma Das.

She won a bronze in the mixed doubles with Sathiyan Gnanasekaran. The duo had defeated Sharath Kamal and Mouma Das 11-6 11-2 11-4 in the bronze play-off.

India ended their campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2018 with 66 medals (26 Gold, 20 Silver and 20 Bronze). (ANI)
