Sochi [Russia], Sep 30 (ANI): Four-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton on Sunday won the 2018 Russian Grand Prix, while his teammate, Valtteri Bottas, settled for the second spot.
Reflecting on the victory, Hamilton admitted that it was a difficult day for him, adding that Bottas was kind enough to let him through.
"It's actually quite a difficult day. Valtteri was a real gentleman to let me through. To have a one-two - usually, we'd be elated. Valtteri deserved to win... but today it was a real team effort," Formula One quoted Hamilton, as saying.
Bottas, on the other hand, also expressed happiness over the result, and said that it was good for the team as a whole.
While Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari finished in the third spot, his teammate Kimi Raikkonen finished at number four in the event.
Hamilton, with the victory, now leads Vettel by 50 points in the championship title race. (ANI)
