Dhaka [Bangladesh], Dec 24 (ANI): India finished as runners-up after going down 1-0 against Bangladesh in the final match of the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship, here.

In a closely contested game, Shamsun Nahar's individual brilliance is what took the game away from India. Her strike in the 41st minute was the sole differentiator between the two sides.

After blanking out Bhutan and Nepal earlier, India had lost to the hosts in the group stages.

Earlier, India had produced a superlative performance and scored five goals in each half to thump Nepal 10-0 in a totally one-sided group encounter.

In the opening match of the tournament, Indian eves had outplayed Bhutan 3-0. (ANI)
