Commonwealth Wrestling C'ship to mark Sushil's international return

New Delhi [India], Dec 15 (ANI): Double Olympian Sushil Kumar is all set to compete at an international event for the first time after three years.

The London Olympic silver medallist will compete in the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship, which is to be held in Johannesburg from December 15-17.

Sushil, who won gold at the National Championship last month, took to Twitter to express his excitement about participation in the tournament.

He wrote, "Delighted to represent my country once again in #CommonwealthChampionShip All set to bring laurels for my land. Need blessings and good wishes. #JaiHind ????."

The Indian contingent, comprising of 60 wrestlers, reached the venue on Friday.

Other than Sushil, the team includes Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik and star wrestlers like Bajrang Punia, Geeta Phogat, Vinesh Phogat and many more.

India has fielded two wrestlers in each weight category.

The competition will be held as per the following schedule:

December 15: Greco Roman Style, all ten weight categories

December 16: Female Wrestling, all ten weight categories

December 17: Free Style Wrestling, all ten weight categories. (ANI)
