New Delhi [India], July 23 (ANI): Badminton Association of India (BAI) has decided to honour Lakshya Sen who bagged gold at the recently-concluded Asian Junior Championship.
BAI president Himanta Biswa Sarma took to twitter and announced the cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakh for the rising badminton star.
"To honour this incredible talent and inspire many others like him to aspire for the stars, as President of @BAI_Media I am glad to have announced a cash prize of ?10 lakh to @lakshya_sen for winning Gold at Junior Asian #Badminton Championship in Jakarta. #SundayMotivation," Sarma tweeted.



The president had earlier congratulated the young shuttler for winning the gold medal and making India proud.
The 16-year-old sportsman created a history by beating top-seed Kunlavut Vitidsaran of Indonesia 21-19, 21-18 to win gold for India at the mega-event after a gap of six years. (ANI)
