Athletics national camps to commence on Oct 10

New Delhi [India], Oct 4 (ANI): The national athletics coaching camps will commence from October 10 at different venues, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) announced. Simultaneously, AFI will also organise an orientation course for all the coaches on October 7 and 8.

New Delhi [India], Oct 4 (ANI): The national athletics coaching camps will commence from October 10 at different venues, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) announced. Simultaneously, AFI will also organise an orientation course for all the coaches on October 7 and 8.
The AFI has advised all athletes, coaches and support to report on October 10 at their respective camp venues. Athletes and coaches who fail to report at camps on time will not be considered further and in certain cases may not be considered for selection in International competitions.
The AFI planning commission which met during recently-concluded 58th National Open Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar also held discussions regarding its domestic competition calendar for the year 2019.
"Next year we have two major competitions. First, we have Asian Athletics Championships from April 19 to 24 and then International Association of Athletics (IAAF) World Championships from September 28 to October 6. Both competitions will be held in Doha, Qatar. We will shortly release our domestic calendar which is being prepared accordingly," said CK Valson, Secretary AFI. (ANI)
