Govt. willing to make football reach to 15,000 schools: Vijay Goel

New Delhi [India], May 17 (ANI): Expressing satisfaction with the `Mission XI Million` festival held in Mumbai, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel insisted that along with cricket, Government is trying hard to encourage young generation in other sports such as Football, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Kushti.

New Delhi [India], May 17 (ANI): Expressing satisfaction with the `Mission XI Million` festival held in Mumbai, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel insisted that along with cricket, Government is trying hard to encourage young generation in other sports such as Football, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Kushti. Goel emphasized that the government is willing to make football reach to 15000 schools. Praising the efforts to organize such event, he further assured to make efforts to promote football among kids. More than 500 children from various academies and schools were seen at the festival, engaging in a variety of activities at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. The kids got a chance to play exhibition games and demonstrate the skills they have gained through Mission XI Million in front of the FIFA Legend and World Cup winner Carles Puyol. The children were later felicitated by the FIFA Legend.(ANI)
