Ex-England football manager Graham Taylor dies aged 72
London [U.K], Jan.13 (ANI): Former England manager Graham Taylor has recently passed away after a suspected heart attack. He was 72. Confirming the news of Taylor's death, his family said, "With the greatest sadness, we have to announce that Graham passed away at his home early this morning of a suspected heart attack. The family are devastated by this sudden and totally unexpected loss." Taylor, who managed the national team for four years, spent a majority of his career at Watford and Aston Villa, goal.com reported. The former England manager led Watford for over a 10-year period, taking the club from Division Four to Division One between 1977 and 1987s before finishing as a runner-ups in the 1984 FA Cup. Taylor then went on to guide Aston Villa from Division Two to second in Division One in the late 1980s. Subsequently, he took charge of England and guided them to Euro 1992. However, the national team's failure to qualify for the 1994 World Cup ultimately cost him his job. After further spells as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Taylor returned first to Watford and then to Villa before making a successful career in the media and becoming a much-loved figure within the game.(ANI)
