London, July 8 (ANI): Didier Deschamps has conceded that France need to be at their best when they face Portugal in the Euro 2016 final but the French manager expressed that he was delighted after his side ended nearly six decades of hoodoo against Germany at a major tournament.

London, July 8 (ANI): Didier Deschamps has conceded that France need to be at their best when they face Portugal in the Euro 2016 final but the French manager expressed that he was delighted after his side ended nearly six decades of hoodoo against Germany at a major tournament. Antoine Griezmann continued his scintillating form as he scored twice to help the hosts sink world champions Germany 2-0 in a pulsating semifinal clash in Marseille on Friday. Reflecting on the triumph, Deschamps, who the captain of the victorious 1998 side, said they have scripted history by knocking out Germany who made them suffer for a long period of time in major tournaments, the Guardian reported. This was the first time France claimed a win over Germany in a competitive match since 1958 World Cup. France will face Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal in the mouth-watering summit clash at Stade de France on Sunday. (ANI)
