Defiant Schweinsteiger declares Man Utd will be his `last club in Europe`
Johannesburg, Aug 24 (ANI): Amid increasing speculation surrounding his possible Old Trafford exit, German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has insisted that Manchester United would be his 'last club in Europe' and that he will be ready if the team require his services. The 32-year-old midfielder, who endured an injured-plagued first season, is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Old Trafford club since Jose Mourinho took over the team this summer. Clarifying his position, Schweinsteiger said on Twitter that he had no desire to leave United while pointing out that he left his boyhood club Bayern Munich only for Old Trafford, Sport24 reported. The veteran footballer recently called curtains on his international career following some below-par performances for Germany at Euro 2016 last month. He had spent 13 years as a first-team player at Bayern and won eight Bundesliga titles, seven German Cups and the 2012-13 Champions League. (ANI)
