Chelsea fight back to end Tottenham's winning streak in PL
Johannesburg [South Africa], Nov. 27 (ANI): Chelsea returned to the top of the standings and extended their 26-year unbeaten run against Tottenham Hotspur after coming from behind and beat their London rivals 2-1 in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. This was Tottenham's first Premier League defeat this season. Spurs took an early lead in the game when Christian Eriksen's superb 11th minute strike put them in front, reports Sport24. However, in the closing seconds of the first half in the 44th minute, Chelsea's Pedro curled in a spectacular right-foot effort to score the equaliser. The hosts continued where they left off in the first half after the break with Diego Costa teeing up Victor Moses in the 51st minute, and the Nigeria international made no mistake with a simple tap-in to put Chelsea 2-1 up. Both the teams tried their level best to score further goals but none succeeded and Chelsea finally emerged victorious. (ANI)
